Well another year has come and gone and the festive season is upon us again. I hope everyone has a safe and merry Xmas and a prosperous New Year. We are open as normal over the festive season and i will be trying to post more blogs per month next year.

As the weather starts to warm up, and the humidity increases our ever prevalent summer storms will begin to roll through, normally late in the afternoon and early evening.

I have always been attracted to storms. I love to photograph not only the unpredictable lightning strikes but also the storm cells itself and the intense shelf cloud theses storm produce.

Something a little different from my usual landscape photography. I shot a wrestling event on the weekend, something i have never done before.

It was quite challenging shooting indoors with a flash, there were many bright flashing lights, but the most challenging was getting he right exposure on the wrestlers. They were moving fast, one second they were really close to me the next they were over the other side of the ring.

I learnt a lot that night just by trying different settings, after 17 years of photography i still learn more and more every time i take my camera out. Trial and error is a great way to develop your skills as well as stepping out of your comfort zone and shooting things you normally wouldn't.
